Observing the Moon

It’s been a while since I have dedicated a whole stargazing session just for the moon, the last time was during the last Christmas break. Due to the moon’s close proximity to us, a wealth of detail can be seen even with a small telescope, or just with a pair of binoculars. The 2012 International Observe the Moon Night event will take place on September 22, be sure to pay our closest neighbor a visit!
