Finder Chart for Uranus (Facing East at 9-10 pm, September to October 2012)

To find Uranus, locate first the Great Square of Pegasus and then use the two stars in the easternmost side of the square as pointer stars. Uranus is somewhere between the easternmost side of the square and the beta star (Deneb Kaitos) of the constellation Cetus. Currently illuminated at magnitude 5.73, it should be an easy target with a pair of binoculars.
