Stargazing session with members and aspiring applicants of the University of the Philippines Astronomical Society at the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory in UP Diliman

Last night’s stargazing activity highlights the Astro-Imaging Group’s first imaging session for 2013, and the field observation and hands-on astrophotography work of aspiring applicants of the organization. Since 2005, the Astro-Imaging Group (AIG) has served as the group behind every featured astronomy photo produced by the organization. For previous observations, click here.

Astrophoto Exhibit at the Mind Museum

Earlier last month, I was invited by The Mind Museum to participate in an astrophotography exhibit featuring the works of Filipino astrophotographers and also to provide a short talk during the exhibit’s opening ceremony yesterday, October 12, 2012.

A brief talk at The Mind Museum during the opening ceremony of the astrophotography exhibit ‘A Night in a Different Light’ on October 12, 2012.

Photos by fellow astrophotographers will be auctioned and the proceeds will be used to subsidize the entrance fee of public school students and educational programs of the museum.
