More than one hundred astronomy enthusiasts attended Manila Street Astronomer’s (MSA) lecture on July 17, 2016 at the National Museum Planetarium in Luneta, Manila, with the topic The Moon and How to Observe It. The lecture was held 47 years after man first set foot on the moon in July 1969!

Since 2013, Manila Street Astronomers (MSA) has been conducting free public viewing sessions in various locations in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The group consists of amateur and professional astronomers, as well as astronomy and science enthusiasts with the goal of promoting astronomy to the general public by providing free access to telescopes.

Most of MSA’s observations highlight targets such as the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and the constellations. If you are interested to see these objects through a telescope, particularly, the moon and the planets, feel free to join the Manila Street Astronomers in their upcoming observations this May:
